Tony Brown

Originally from Thurrock, Essex I was raised on a diet of Motown, big band and trad jazz. I was lucky enough to be part of the soul and jazzfunk scene of the 70s and 80s when there was always a choice of pubs and clubs playing excellent music, whether it be in Essex, Kent, London or further afield. I’ve mainly worked in London and have spent many happy hours digging in crates in back street shops around the West End looking for THAT tune.

The collection is still growing and over the last few years I have presented shows for the internet radio stations Jazz Syndicate Radio and George Jazz.

I’m delighted to be able to share some of my jazz – everything from Blue Note to Nu Jazz, Afro Beat, Latin and all points in between.
